Lovers Lane Friends of Music presents “Concert of Legacy”
“Concert of Legacy" is a powerful overture to our 2023/2024 Lovers Lane Friends of Music Concert Series. Join us on Sunday, September 10th at 3:00 pm in the historic stained-glass sanctuary of Lovers Lane United Methodist Church as we embark on a captivating new season. The harmonious voices of the Lovers Lane Sanctuary Choir, the skillful collaboration of the Lovers Lane Sanctuary Ringers and Brookhaven Ringers, and a dazzling triptych of musical homages by organist Katie Scheetz weave together an afternoon enriched with celebration of our musical legacy.
Prepare to be captivated by Mary Anna Salo's exquisite performance of Beethoven's epic "Choral Fantasy," beautifully brought to life on our new Fazioli F-278 concert grand piano, which has been generously given by the Don Bowles family as an enduring memorial to Janie Ralston Bowles. Featured soloists include Jacquelyn Lengfelder, Kristen Lassiter, Brooke Clark Gibson, Ryan McDonald, Chris Yenne, and Brandon Gibson. Susan Frazier's incredible solo artistry will shine in Mozart's Horn Concerto No. 4, enhanced by a full 24-piece orchestra.
