Sundays at 10:50AM in Shipp Chapel

Heart of Africa Fellowship is a culturally diverse community of faith, hope and love where sisters and brothers from different countries meet for worship and fellowship. Each Sunday is different and God ministers to us accordingly. Do not forget to invite friends and family members to join us.

Zimbabwe Fellowship

Sundays, 10:30 a.m. CFC Foundry

The mission of the Zimbabwe Fellowship at Lovers Lane UMC is to love ALL people into relationship with Jesus Christ. We are a congregation committed to loving and welcoming in the name of Jesus Christ. Our vision is to seek people to be one in a Christ-centered, biblical-based, culturally diverse family, uplifting inspiring worship and loving groups and classes.

We equip leaders as catalysts and Christ followers to love ALL people into relationship with Jesus Christ, sending people forth to be focused on serving. Our main language is Shona, although we mix with English to accommodate all as we implement the Lovers Lane UMC mission statement. Worship service is at 10:30 a.m. in the CFC Foundry. We hold three small groups in members’ homes on Fridays.

Deaf Ministry

Sundays, 9:30 a.m. CFC 103/105

Our Deaf Fellowship meets every Sunday in the Christ Family Center(CFC) 103/105, from 9:30 to 10:40 a.m. for Bible study and worship in ASL. We provide voice interpreting for our hearing friends and families of the Deaf.

We also offer live captioning every Sunday. On the first Sundays of the month, our Deaf Fellowship worships at the 10:50 a.m. Traditional Worship service in the Sanctuary. On all other Sundays of the month, the Deaf Fellowship worships with Crosswalk in Asbury Hall at 11:00 a.m. interpreted in ASL.
