Homeless Ministry

Local Ministry Partner Recurring

Every day thousands of men, women and children find themselves without a home. Throughout the year, we partner with local ministries to the homeless to support their efforts in serving those experiencing homelessness in our community. Please consider joining us!

Our Home Plate Ministry serves lunch to the residents of Austin Street Center on the 2nd Sunday of each month. Usually, a small group or Sunday school class leads the team, but individuals are always welcome to serve. We typically need a team of 8 to 12 volunteers each month. Please let us know if you would like to join us for one of our future dates.

Volunteering at The Bridge Homeless Recovery Center is an honor and privilege to serve those less fortunate. You will dish up food, hand out trays of food, pour water, and collect trays of dirty dishes. Unless you wear a ball cap, a hairnet is required—along with plastic gloves. Meet inside at Entrance D at 5:00 PM on the second Sunday of every month. We will carpool to the Bridge at 5:15 PM. If you prefer, you can meet us at the Bridge. You will be blessed.

April Collection

This month we are collecting school supplies and feminine pads for children in Liberia. Supplies include highlighters, #2 pencils, pencil sharpeners, calculators and notebooks. Bring supplies to the blue bins on campus. The collection will benefit children being served through the Beatrice Wleh foundation.

Place your donations in the blue bins at Entrance A.
