One-hour exercise class for ages 60+, including strength training with muscle and joint exercises. Cost: $1 per class; scholarships available.
Senior Shape-Up is a mission of the church for senior adults offered in 10 weeks sessions and some shorter sessions during the summer and holiday seasons. We're a hybrid class with in-person and zoom attendance. Equipment is furnished for in-person but those on Zoom provide their own.
The one hour exercise class includes:
- Low impact aerobics
- Resistance bands
- Hand weights
- Rubber ball for hand/eye coordination
- Flexibility and strengthening exercises
Please note that Friday includes a half hour of chair yoga taught by Charlie Arnett. The other classes are taught by Susan Arnett and Sally Adams.
