Have you ever wondered where God is when people are suffering? Whenever life gets difficult, or when our loved ones are hurting, we as followers of God tend to wonder. The question of theodicy, or why a good and powerful God allows harm, has troubled people of faith for centuries. Join us in-person for an eight-week study of Rabbi Harold Kushner’s book. In this class we will learn from the journey of Rabbi Kushner, who spent years wrestling with his faith after the death of his son. We will take a deep dive into the book of Job, the biblical book that struggles with theodicy and the presence of God in suffering. If your understanding of Job is the simplistic and wrong interpretation of never questioning God, then this class can help grow your faith for the most difficult times in your life. Come learn and ask questions in a safe and uplifting environment as we explore some of the most fundamental questions of life, faith, and God.

Cost: Please purchase and be prepared to read When Bad Things Happen to Good People by Harold Kushner. Available at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and most bookstores
