Experience the beauty and passion of the traditional choral mass with the intense, rhythmic flair and Latin harmonic flavor of Argentinian composer Martín Palmeri in the Misa a Buenos Aires, affectionately known as the Misatango.

This one-hour season-finale concert features mezzo-soprano Neylan Loffredo, tango dancers Nasrin Barmaki and Mark Hernandez, accordionist Svetlana Ivanchencko, pianist Clinton Bray, the Lovers Lane Sanctuary Choir, and professional string quintet, conducted by Director of Music Ministry, Jimmy Emery.

This is a not-to-miss event of sizzling musical thrills in the one-of-kind stained glass Sanctuary of Lovers Lane United Methodist Church. Sunday, June 14 at 5:00 p.m.

FREE and open to the public, generously sponsored by Lovers Lane UMC, the Lovers Lane Friends of Music, and the Lovers Lane Foundation.

Our Vibrant Ensembles

We are a diverse family of musicians, united by our shared Christian values and a passion for spreading the joy of music. Our ensembles create an enriching musical tapestry, and we invite you to be a part of it!

Sanctuary Choir: Led by the charismatic Jimmy Emery, the Sanctuary Choir is an adult choir that supports the weekly 11am traditional service and participates in multiple concerts. With voices raised in harmony, they add a sense of reverence and joy to our worship.
Sanctuary Ringers: Under the guidance of the talented Katie Scheetz, the Sanctuary Ringers are an adult handbell group that brings a unique and melodious touch to worship and concerts throughout the year.
KIDSing: Led by the vibrant Emily Fry, KIDSing is our beloved kids' choir that joyfully participates in various venues throughout the year. Their youthful energy and angelic voices uplift hearts and inspire all.
Worship Teams: Our dedicated worship teams pour their hearts into guiding our congregation in heartfelt worship, creating an atmosphere of devotion and connection.

And much more: Beyond our ensembles, our music ministry encompasses an array of musical talents and expressions. From instrumentalists to soloists, from contemporary to traditional, there is a place for everyone to share their gifts and worship together here at Lovers Lane UMC.
