Give a Gift
We're improving our giving process. It's very easy to support the ministries here at Lovers Lane UMC. Your generous gifts support all aspects of the church and our mission to love ALL into relationship with Jesus Christ. You may choose a specific ministry or you may give to the General Fund. There's no minimum, give as you can as often as you like and THANK YOU!
We've improved our giving process. Try it out. It's quick and easy. All you need is your phone number and you'll be supporting our ministries in no time.
Missions and Outreach
Your giving to missions and outreach allows us to meet the physical and spiritual needs of those in our community and worldwide. You are tangibly changing the lives of children in our community that are experiencing food insecurity by providing fresh produce. You are feeding millions of hungry children worldwide through our partner agencies like Feed My Starving Children. Through your giving, we are responding to natural disasters like hurricanes, tornadoes, and pandemics. You meet the spiritual needs of those in our community and around the world through our partnerships with Christ's Foundry, Lydia Patterson Institute, Project Transformation, Zoe Geh Medical Center, to name a few. And of course...Everybody's Christmas. With your help, we will reach our 2021 goal to meet people's physical and spiritual needs!
Small Groups and Classes
LLUMC believes in the importance of community and learning with a group. Giving to support Small Groups and Classes enables our church to support over 40 Sunday school classes and ongoing small groups, as well as dozens of seasonal classes.
Our Care Ministry is much more than just hospital visits and funerals. Your giving enables us to keep members on our continuing care list connected to the church with holiday deliveries at Christmas, Valentine’s Day, and the Fourth of July, as well as offering a special All Saints Day lunch each year. We have 12 trained Congregational Care Ministers (CCMs) who make at least monthly contact with their assigned members needing connection. Our Care Ministry also offers support groups open to the community for grief, divorce, cancer, and estrangement from family members. This fall we will be adding two new support groups for families of loved ones with eating disorders and for women with fertility issues. All these groups meet online during COVID19 times.
Celebrate Recovery (C.R.) offers a Christian 12-step program with a recovery-based worship service. Your giving to C.R. changes the lives of those who struggle with “hurts, habits, and hang-ups,” including addictions. Even during COVID19 times, our men’s and women’s open share groups are going strong, and our musicians continue to lead us in online worship. We plan to add online men’s and women’s step studies soon.
Your giving to this ministry is making it possible for us to keep on reaching out to families with a phone call, text message or facetime during this time of uncertaining. We are grateful for your support and generosity you have made towards Austin’s Army special needs ministry. It is yours and others that continue to enable us to serve in our mission of including ALL children and students.
Our Deaf Fellowship and ministry offers Bible study, retreats, missions, and programs locally and globally in ASL. Our sign choir performs monthly at our traditional worship service. We offer pastoral care, baptisms, weddings, and funerals in ASL by our pastor of the Deaf, Rev. Dr. Tom Hudspeth, who is assisted by Certified Lay Deaf Servants Susan Judd and Naomi Rapp. Upon consultation with our SEEDS team, we may provide life skills training for Deaf young adults, with one-on-one mentoring.
Heart of Africa and Zimbabwe Fellowship
The African Fellowships at LLUMC appreciate the love and unity that is exhibited in our church through the mission statement of loving ALL people into relationship with Jesus Christ. As a community of immigrants from different nationalities of Arica, we have found refuge in many areas of LLUMC
