Service of the Longest Night

For most of us, Christmas is a time of celebration. But for others, it’s a time of painful reflection, sadness and loneliness. The Service of the Longest Night is for those who are grieving during this season, whether for a recent or distant loss. ALL are welcome in Shipp Chapel. Learn more.

Every Christmas Lovers Lane UMC hosts a Christmas celebration for people experiencing homeless and food insecurity and for those who have been recently incarcerated. As our guests arrive, they are warmly greeted with a snack of cookies and milk. Following a time of worship, they sit down for a warm dinner and fellowship together. Each person who comes receives a warm coat, a gift bag and a picture with Santa!

You have the opportunity to be a part of this important mission to the people of Dallas by praying, donating coats, volunteering on December 22 or by making a donation. Everyone who serves with us at Everybody's Christmas looks forward to being here every year saying they are as blessed as those we serve. Please join us in one of these ways!
