The mission of Lovers Lane United Methodist Church is to love all people into relationship with Jesus Christ. A guest speaker once told us that our congregation had the best name in Christendom: “Lovers Lane was named after a street, but should now understand itself to be named after the greatest lover the world has ever known—Jesus.” Since moving to Northwest Highway, our sign has proclaimed unconditionally, “You Are Welcome.” We are a congregation committed to loving and welcoming in the name of Jesus Christ.

Our vision is to seek people to be one in a Christ-centered/biblically based, culturally diverse family, uplifting inspiring worship and loving-discipling groups and classes. We also equip leaders as catalysts and Christ followers to love people into relationship with Jesus Christ, sending people forth to be focused on serving.

As a United Methodist Church, we believe the following essentials: God’s love is unconditional, Jesus Christ seeks a personal relationship with each person as a personal Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit is the real presence of the Risen Lord who comforts, directs, and guides us in our faith journeys, the Bible is the inspired word of God and is our authority, foundation, and strength.
