LLUMW Presents… Why the Heck Is It So Hot?

Presented for the entire community, we will explore climate justice issues that affect our faith and how our faith influences our response to them. Enjoy hot dogs, popcorn and lemonade at 5 pm before the movie begins. Before The Flood, is a National Geographic film that features Leonardo DiCaprio, as UN Messenger of Peace, meeting with scientists, activists and world leaders to discuss the dangers of climate change and possible solutions.  A panel of engaged people of faith who are experts in the their field dealing with climate justice will discuss your questions and how we can all be part of solutions. No charge.

Our panel will include: 

  • Rev. Bill Matthews
  • Tricia Loe, owner of Sustainability Concepts
  • Anna Clark, fellow at SMU’s Hunt Institute of Engineering and Humanity, sustainability communications consultant

Childcare is provided. Please email pastor Kay with names & ages of your children so we can be adequately staffed.
