Rainbow Days

Saturday, April 8 - 10:30 am

Rainbow Days’ annual Easter Eggstravaganza invites children and parents residing in one of 27 local domestic violence, homeless, transitional living and permanent supportive housing centers. As a volunteer, you will receive the joy and benefits of serving more than 500 children and 150 parents while they enjoy family activities.

We are asking that the volunteers arrive by 10:30am to receive a brief overview of the day.  Afterward, we will dismiss everyone to their stations and the assigned Volunteer Captain will review the duties for your area and answer any questions prior to the event kickoff.

Event Information… The buses will begin to arrive at 11:30.  As you encounter the children at the event, we ask that you greet them, and leave a lasting impression.  At the conclusion of the event, we ask that you help pack up your station.  And most of all… Have fun!!!

Positions… Positions are limited and are on a first come basis.  So, please be sure to register today to ensure your spot is reserved.

Volunteer Application… Due to the circumstances of the children and families we serve, ALL adult (18 and over) volunteers are required to complete a volunteer application.  If you have never completed one or it has been more than 18 months from the last one, please click here to complete your application.  For those that are not sure if they need to complete one, we are monitoring the registration site, and will contact those that have not and need to complete and application.

Attire…  Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes.  This event is inside the building, with a few activities outside.  Please be prepared for any weather.

If it rains… Though we always hope for the best, we have to plan for every scenario.  Any outside activities will be moved inside.
